Frequently Asked Questions

1. Misconceptions about hypnosis

  • What is hypnosis?
  • Hypnosis is an intense suggestion process, a psychological state with special physiological properties that superficially resembles sleep and is marked by a level of consciousness other than the person's conscious state.

    • Is it dangerous?

Not at all. It is a deep state of relaxation that we experience every day when we sleep.

Psychologist Rafael Rhodes writes in his book Therapy through Hypnosis: "Hypnosis is completely safe. There are no known cases of recorded adverse results from the therapeutic use of hypnosis."

    • Can I get stuck in?

No. Just as you can't get stuck in your dreams or daydreams, you can't get stuck in this one. Even if the hypnotist went out during therapy and left you there, you'd come back on your own in a few minutes and you'd be perfectly fine.

    • Can I be made to do anything?

No. You can only be made to do what you want to do. I haven't seen many people come out of therapy turned into chickens, though it would be fun!

    • Can I be hypnotized?

Everyone can be hypnotized, because everyone sleeps.

    • Am I going to tell you something I don't want to?

No. Just because you're deeply relaxed doesn't mean you're going to produce truth serum. You're just gonna say what you're gonna say anyway

2. Regression

  • What happens during regression?
  • During regression, hypnosis is used to access subconscious memories. The individual can look back to earlier stages of their present life or even to deeper past life experiences. The aim is not merely to recall memories, but to understand and release blockages and blocks and to trigger inner healing.

  • Do we need to "believe" in past lives?

It is not necessary. A regression journey is not necessarily a literal historical recollection, but can be a kind of unconscious storytelling that symbolically points to the root of current problems. The point is not whether the experience is 'real' or 'imagined', but whether it brings about the insights and changes that are needed.

  • How does it affect our present lives?

Regression can help us understand deep-rooted fears, stuckness, recurring patterns. By becoming aware of and reinterpreting these experiences, we can free ourselves from the burdens of the past, making it easier to live more freely and happily in the present.

  • When is it recommended and when is it not?

It is recommended when someone wants to better understand their own inner processes, recurring problems, anxieties, emotional blocks, or when they want to make a change in their life.

It is not recommended for people with serious mental illnesses such as psychosis, schizophrenia or major depression, as these conditions require specialist medical care.

  • What questions should you ask?

Any internal questions you are looking for answers to can be a good starting point, for example:

- Why do I keep feeling the same fear or block?

- What is the reason for certain recurring life situations or relationship patterns?

- What inner resources do I have that I didn't know about before?

- How can I live, love and trust more freely?

Or maybe you are just curious and would like to see what happened to you in a past life.
